Becoming An Artist
Becoming an Artist is an ‘action’ that is available to everyone. It is a decision to see the world differently , to commit to the time needed to create in whatever medium you choose, and to think and perceive differently. You begin to act as an observer of others, of change, of objects, of actions, and all aspects of life around us.
There may be times of “creative blocks”, yet other times of intense energetic engaging surges and idea formation. There can be phases of physical inaction while the mind is still actively processing.
Time is a key element of art making e.g., the use of both fast and slow, and the loss of it. An artist will experience a complete emergence into different understandings of time both linear and nonlinear will be required.
“Everyone has an artist inside of them. It is a decision to live with gratitude, openly and humbly to all that is revealed to us every day.”
